Hye everybody,
I think it should be a good thing to add the spybot search and destroy engine in the portable apps package. It's already portable. You just need to put it compliant with your apps menu.

we can't include Spybot in the PortableApps Package since it is proprietary software, however we can construct a launcher for it.

As all of ya should know Microsoft is the Evil Empire, and Windows (a.k.a. Winblows or Windoze) is their greatest general, so please make a difference and install Linux or Free BSD on yer Windows comp.
I love this program. If it could have a portable launcher where you just copy the files into it, it would be great.

John has already been in talks with the Spybot team looking to have an official portable version one day. I myself have asked about it's status, but as always, its a "done when it's done" kinda thing. Give them time and they will hopefully have everything worked out.

I have SpyBot S&D in my portable... SpyBot leave a folder in Documents and Settings and writes to the registry... it can be used in your portable, but it's not really portable... It needs "some fixes" to make it portable.

Yes, I understand there are ways to make Spybot portable by simply moving files to your USB drive. However, I believe John is trying to arrange for a way to make it completely contained and portable by the definition that all other official apps are held to.
