forum operation and "new" post links

I was wondering if it is possible to have on this website a new feature. When one clicks on the "New" link in the posts count column, could it got to the first new post, or at least the top of the page of the last post? That way, one doesn't have to scroll through muleiple pages to get to the new content.

Nope

It only works for single page topics. Multi-page topics it won't work for. That's just the way it is.

Of course, most topics over a page or 2 are pretty useless and no one bothers reading that far anymore.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

okeliy.

I only suggested it given how we want folks to not duplicate topics, and one way is to keep it simpler to use the "Recent Posts" page, which seems more geared towards maintaining longer thread life, full of nits and bits of detail.

Don't be an uberPr∅. They are stinky.

Exactly

Apparently Drupal needs a major overhaul to do it.
