I've been using this for several months and am really satisfied with the passeord generator and level of encryption.
No longer do I feel like I'm using lame passwords easy to crack and I carry it in my thumbdrive so when I go to work I can access persoanl and work related sites without having to remember so many pswrds!
Hope you guys give it a run and see how well it works. I simply installed in in the Corsair (gig) USB drive and it runs like a champ every time.
Also it has room for notes and pesonal additions so it's not just a password keeper but a bit more.
Thanks for a great forum for port. apps. you guys found a great niche to fill.

It's by far the best password manage and form filler program i've ever used, and it runs off your USB drive. They also have a U3 version.
Keepass is an opensource software and pass2go is a commercial software. No offense, but I never trust any commercial software when it comes to protecting privacy and such...

Hotkey Windows + K for me - one of my most used apps. Oh - and works on my palmtop too, which is a HUGE plus for when I'm going places.

It autofills... If keepass did that I would be in lust with it.
KeePass does do auto fill. You can even tell it How to auto fill for specific items. It is a VERY nice password manager!

it does? my understanding was that the KeeForm plugin could autofill but only into IE (/vomits in own mouth)..
Does it autofill without a hotkey? Maybe I need to give it another chance!
to my knowlege you have to set a hot key for it to autofill. But mind you that is ONE hotkey and ONE only, in the 'notes' of the password entry you can set a variable for "window title" and then that username/password will work for you in whatever window has that particular window title. Very Sexy IMHO

With this new fork all the major OS's are now able to use keepass. Yet another good reason to add it to the portable apps family.

I am on a quick learning curve here.
I have Any Password on my portable apps drive, but need a "plug-in" or extension so that FireFox portable will allow me to login like RoboForm does for my PC with Internet Explorer.
I put Robform2go on my USB key, both in the root of the USB key {its default} as well as moved it to Portable Apps directory {where it won't run because the path isn't in the root}.
In either case, the interface and toolbar doesn't show up in Firefox portable.
Is there a solution out there for my needs? It would be neat to be able to click on a link and the login and password automatically be taken care of.

I prefer Password Safe for my password manager. It has a password generator as well, and is recommended by Bruce Schenier. You can add notes to a given entry, and have it semi-automatically fill in the user field. Also, it's by default portable. Just extract it and delete the uninstaller.

KeePass Password Safe can all but the semi-automatically fill-in (= offer you your standard user name when you make a new entry). As compensation you could duplicate whole entries and there are much more goodies

Bruce Schneier - something like a security guru - recommend Passwordsafe because it was initially developed by him.
That doesn't mean that the open sourced KeePass isn't as good or even better
