PortableApps Menu not displayed correctly...

Hi,

My PAM isn't displayed correctly. All the buttons (e.g. the programs list, document, video, help, search buttons) are all coloured black. When I hover over the buttons it changes into the colour that would normally be correct. It also doesn't look to be the 'New' PAM. In the screenshot the 'New' PAM has icons for the documents, etc., and more importantly it has an eject button too.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks.

I had that problem...

What's your screen resolution set at?
If it's really big, download and istall this beta over your menu:
PAM - 1.0.1.2 (1.0.0.2 beta 2)
For more information click here.

It should work. Put it this directory
x= your drive

 X:/PortableApps/PortableAppsMenu/

And the eject button?
It may be from an alpha test of a unreleased version of PAM. I have the latest beta version (with theme support) and it dosen't have any eject button. If John or someone that knows can shed some light on the "Mystery of the Missing Eject Button" *dun, dun, dun* that would be great!

I used the Base edition of PAM as my origonal version of PAM before I updated to the latest beta, if that is any help to anyone helping solve this missing eject button *dun, dun, dun* problem.

(All *dun, dun, dun* things are added for dramatic effect)

Thanks for the advice...

...but downloading the fix didn't fix it.

To show you what I mean check out these:

On load: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v508/helmon1/error.jpg
After moving pointer over 'Mozilla Firefox' tab: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v508/helmon1/error_on_mouse_over.jpg

As you can see all the buttons are/tabs are black.

Edit: I am using a T60 with resolution of 1400x1050.

It worked on win 2000...

...with those resolution settings. Although, my PAM was just a solid black box when I used the beta fix.

Well, here's something to try. . .

Click ME!!!!

Try downloading just this, then installing the themeing pack Click ME TOO!!!

Just rename the "PortableApps" to "PortableApps-" and install the new stuff. Then, drag in your programs but not the menu utilities to the new PortableApps folder. I've never had this problem, but when I do have problems, rebooting usually fixes that.

Other things to try: Reinstalling, rebooting, and using a different computer to see if the same problem happens.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the suggestions but...

@ John:
The theme I was using was Royale. However, after changing it back to default Windows XP it still didn't work. I was hoping that would fix the problem.

@ Roamer:
I tried to 'lower' the resolution on my laptop to 1024 x 768 but still didn't work.

@ OliverK
I downloaded the base pack and did what you advised but still had that problem. I would like to try the theme pack but you didn't provide the link Blum
