Is there a problem if Firefox updates itself? I have the current PortableApps Suite with Firefox 1.5, but Firefox told me it needed to update. So I let it, but it apparently only went from 1.5 (portable) to 1.5 (non-portable, I guess).
Is this a problem?

I think that you will find that it went to 1.5.0.1 This is fine and no problem at all.

Yes, it is 1.5.0.1. But when I try to install, it seems to hang at about 33%. Am I maybe impatient?

Since Portable Firefox downloads the full update (the small one fails), it has to update a lot of files. Even over USB 2.0 on an iPod shuffle--whose write speed is quite admirable for a device not primarily designed for data storage--the update process took about 10-15 minutes for me.
edit: Bah. I spelled "downloads" wrong.
