Painful Popup

I'm wondering why the Portable Apps dialog box doesn't come up when the downloads window is open because it's annoying me that it takes focus from the address bar in the same way that the google default web page does but in an even more annoying fashion will I say.

Umm... huh?

There are no popups on this website.

Installer

Thank you for your reply.

I like the new installer but the behaviour of the splash screen is different from what it was previously. Can you please look into this because I want a better experience with my browser and not just security updates.

Same splash

If you mean the splash screen when you first launch it... it's exactly the same as it's been for the past year or so. Nothing has changed.

If you're talking a behavior in Firefox itself... nothing in the portable release has changed except some defaults (history enabled by default now, for instance) which wouldn't affect an existing install at all. Any changes would be within Firefox... and this is not the appropriate place to ask for changes to that.

Splash Screen

No, but the splash screen unnecessarily takes focus away from the address bar in my view and I hope you don't mind me saying that but it's really very aggravating at times.

What?

The Splash Screen is only launched for a few seconds before Firefox Portable is launched, how could it possible take away from the address bar?

Download Manager

If you have the download manager open and then execute the program again a splash screen does not appear, which is unlike previous behaviour of earlier versions and yes the default page, i.e., google.com does take focus but more annoyingly the Portable Apps splash screen does too but in an even more annoying way.

I'm confused here too

Maybe we are talking about two different things. You said in the original post that google does the same thing? I don't recall google having a splash screen or a popup. You also mention the downloads page, which would take the focus from the address bar, but it should only do it for when you are downloading something, and it goes away on it's own. It You can also work on other windows while downloading.
