Adding non-portable apps that run without registry entries

My file manager of choice is ZTree and it runs out of a sub-directory without needing registry entries.

I know I can simply make that sub-dir a child of the PortableApps sub-dir and it'll work but there are several other helper EXEs in the ZTree sub-dir that show up in PAM that I don't need to have listed.

So the question is; is there a way to put a link of some sort either in PAM or in a child directory of PortableApps that will run the ZTree EXE? I tried both a shortcut and a BAT but neither of them worked. Using the Portable Apps Template seems like a lot of unnecessary work. Is there a simpler way or is that the only way to do this?

Well.

Well, there's a couple different versions of the PAM out their that will allow you to hide apps, and hopefully this feature will come in the next release of the Official PAM, but if ZTree is open source of freeware, I can quickly edit one of John's launcher for you and send it to you if you post your e-mail. Otherwise, there's one version of the PAM that allows you to hide exe's that was changed by someone else, I forget who.

Edit: Just use this one, it's got the feature you're looking for.

I'd rather stick with the

I'd rather stick with the official version of PAM (so I don't have to remember which version I'm using and what I need to update or ignore later). That having been said ZTree is shareware that I own and am allowed to take with me (per the EULA) as long as I don't leave it there.

If you're willing to edit one of John's launchers (and it's NOT a big deal) the USB path to the EXE is \Utility\ZTree\ztw.exe There are no registry entries and it runs completely from the sub-dir it's in.

You can send it to me at Info@GuysKayaks.com

Thanks.
