Lost Extensions.

I just downloaded firefox potable and followed the instructions for bringing the setting from the version of firefox on my home computer to my portable version. Everything worked great except now my origanl copy of firefox has lost all of its exstensions and won't connect to the internet because it says the proxy is blocking it.

Is there any way to get it back to the way it used to be because I had some 40 extension installed and I really don't want to have to go back and reinstall them.

Search first

This is due to a corrupt profile and has been asked and answered dozens of times here and on other sites. Usually due to an unsafe eject or a computer crash. Sometimes due to events beyond your control. There's information on reconstructing profiles on mozillaZine.org and a few other sites. It's usually best to simply restore from a backup (you do make regular backups, right?).

Actually, noticing that it's happening with your local version. Try rebooting and be sure your portable device is out (should make no difference). Also, you did COPY and not MOVE the files from your local version, right? Firefox Portable doesn't affect a local Firefox install.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

The real kicker is that I

The real kicker is that I used to make backups. I had it set to make a backup every day but Do to some problems with my computer I had to create a new profile and apperently I never got around to restoring the schedule. I am positive I copied it but then again I might of hit the wrong key. I will check the site on profile reconstruction to if it still doesn't work after rebooting.

Thank you for your help.
