Ok this looks serious, about 10-15 mins after launching PAM on Windows 2K (Pro) Win2K reboots w/o prompt also it runs a chkdsk when rebooting.
It happened on 2 Windows 2K comps, it does not reboot when I don't launch PAM. And it happened multiple times!
Please note I am using the latest PAM beta.
This does not happen when I am on XP.
Well, there's nothing within the menu itself that can cause an actual reboot on Win2K... it's simply not possible without purposely abusing a flaw in the OS... so it seems that using PAM is exposing something broken on the PC or in the OS itself. If you're using it from an external drive, it could be a hardware issue. It uses the OS to display icons and a few other things. So, it could be exposing corrupted OS files. Or infected OS files. Basically, you'll need to run down the full list of troubleshooting to find the issue on your PC. But, I guarantee you, there's something wrong with your OS install.
Try the usual suspects: broken video driver (this is a common one), viruses, spyware and malware, disk corruption, etc. Reinstalling is an option.
And you DID check your event log and the dump from the crash, right?

As all of ya should know Microsoft is the Evil Empire, and Windows (a.k.a. Winblows or Windoze) is their greatest general, so please make a difference and install Linux or Free BSD on yer Windows comp.
Then you're kinda SOL on it. There's something wrong with em. But you probably won't be able to find out what.
