Hi
I am using PSunbird but basically the task management in there is pants.
Can anyone suggest an alternative?
I'm taking a look at GanttProject just now.

I use EssentialPim and it's great.

EssentialPIM is indeed great. Delete the languages you don't need and it's just under 1.5 MB
There are a few bugs in EssentialPIM re the Todo lists. If you make changes to the fields displayed it can to trigger a bout of memory reference erors. Once this starts, it seems almost impossible to stop it. The program doesn't crash, but the error messages become tiresome.
I'm looking for a portable scheduler that will sync my Outlook schedule at work into it, preferably multiple times. EPIM doesn't import recurring Outlook events and importing more than once duplicates the entries in EPIM.
Sunbird/Lightning only import iCal and .cvs files but Outlook doesn't export iCal and .cvs looses the recurring event info. Importing more than once also duplicates entries.
Any other suggestions for a portable scheduler that plays nicely with Outlook?
Google Calendar?

I'm getting a Google not found error in PFF.
*edit*
Google is working now.
So far, it's smarter than EPIM in that if I import the same .csv file more than once it won't duplicate items like EPIM does. So that's good. The fact that it converts recurring events to individual events is probably OK in that work events in Outlook will always be changed in Outlook and re-imported. I think as long as I keep the imported Outlook calendar in it's own Google calendar I can always delete and recreate it if changed events lead to duplicates.
I did find an outlook2ical macro for Outlook that exports to an iCal file but it has trouble with some of the recurring events. They just don't make it into Google at all.
For the meantime I've fallen back to using FreeMind.
I'll have a look as EssentialPIM at some point in the future, but all of my contacts are in PTBird so it's just ToDos I'm looking for a solution to.
I think I'm going to stick with FreeMind, I use it for other stuff so I'm familiar with the interface and it tends to always be open anyway.
I can set timed reminders etc. and can change the level of detail of display.
Thanks for all your suggestions.

But you could also look into TaskMaster 1.7 http://www.qsoftworld.com/taskmaster/
ReminderFox extension for Fx, maybe? It's good for reminders, and is good if you don't want a big calendar program.
