MyMplayerPortable

Ok I made a simple front for mplayer using nsis. SO this is pretty much self promotion but also kind of not. I am releasing this not because I want to but people said I should make this public for everybody so here it is

the interface is completely made using nsis and is currently beta. I released it under the gnu gpl as I believe all software should be made available for free instead of having to pay for some commercial stuff.
Anyways some tests would be nice and some suggestions to make this better too.
Currently CD/DVD support is not enabled but is available just using mplayer without the frontend (If you like command line style ;)) and support for extra command line options I haven't got to it yet and don't know where to start.
I have a installer available for installing it to your Hard drive and I also made my own nsis based paf installer using small amount of John's Original Nsis script and improving that a little so that it will extract to the current directory or when using pam it would extract into your portable apps directory

Downloads are available here
Portable Version
and the Install version

May take a minute or so to flow in sf.nets servers

Well...

I tested it with a couple of sound and vid files and found no error/flaw.
Do you planing/is it possible to make something like a GUI???

maybe

maybe once I learn some more nsis I'll be able to add a gui Wink
and glad you liked it.
Edit: You know I did this just out of boredom. and some out of curiosity to see if nsis could do more than make portable apps and installers Blum

What's the point of this MPlayer version?

When there's an "official" MPlayer Portable in beta testing on this site already?

The official one has a GUI too.

Just to keep from cluttering these forums
