Moderators - Question for John.

Now, I know this was discussed a bit when the original Moderators and Moderation System of these forums was being discussed, but I have a question.

I've been here for almost 20 weeks (19 weeks, 4 days) and I find I'm around these forums quite a bit, and I mean every day, all the time. Blum I usually try to help out new-comers, and answer other questions in these forums if I have the knowledge. I don't find I'm every really harsh, maybe once of twice it may have slipped out of me for a good reason. But, what I'm wondering is, could I be considered for the position as a moderator of these forums? The reason being is because Ryan and John are the only to Mods I know of, there may be more, but they are definitely not frequent at all. Ryan lives in a completely different time zone as John, so he's not around during when John is most of the time, and John is usually busy, or not as frequent on the forums as Ryan.

So I'm wondering if I could be a mod to do things like remove absolute spam from the forums when it is posted (ads, etc) especially from the off-topic forum, which John rarely looks and, and from all the other forums. I'de be around to do things like remove links to software which I'm sure is illegal (I will check first), I can do things like move authors posts when they need, I can also do other things like re-format all of the USB Drive Reviews in a much more readable manor, so people can easily see read through the list, and other stuff like that.

I promise I would always be cautious first, and never abuse the privalege of being a moderator.

I just wanna help in the way I can.

John, would you consider this?

I'd appreciate a reply, and I would e-mail you, but I've heard about your inbox.

Thank You.

3 mods

There are 3 mods. Me, John and Marko, although he's more the German moderator than a general one.

Oh, and for John to consider you to be a moderator, you have to pledge the following:

  • I pledge to always realise that John is right, even when he is not
  • I pledge to stop mentioning the state of John's inbox, even though I am waiting for a reply
  • I pledge to eat pie at every opportunity
  • (Seven point pledge from Al Gore follows)

I think Patrick

would be a great mod.

He seems level-headed, knowledgeable, appropriate, etc.

(Just putting my two cents in)

Hmmm...

If you put your two cents in, but it's only a penny for your thoughts, where does the extra cent go?

Anyway, I think Patrick would make a good mod. He's had the patience to deal with some people who I would have gotten pretty impolite with.

Of the many people in this

Of the many people in this forum, I think Patrick is one of the few who would qualify for a moderator. Just my 5 cents (my opinion is worth more ).

As well.

I could update things like the support page app list, and compatibility page app list with the like 10 apps that aren't on there, stuff like that.

Any chance John? I just wanna help.
