Rocks'n'Diamonds Portable is the popular Rocks'n'Diamonds game packaged in a portable format. It is an arcade style game with support for the Sokoban level format. Plus, it leaves no personal information behind on the machine you run it on, so you can take your game wherever you go.
Rocks'n'Diamonds Portable 3.2.3 Pre-release 2
Pre-release 2: Now with AppInfo, PAF installer and should now copy your settings. Plus, more configuration stuff (haven't updated Readme yet).
And yes, I know it needs a PAF installer and AppInfo stuff.

Actually it doesn't save settings. I tried it on a second computer and some settings weren't there. When I tried it on the first the settings were back.

just installed the paf. after the first start i get following error message:
Rocks'n'Diamonds Portable could not copy your settings to [UserFolder]\Eigene Dateien\Rocks'n'Diamonds. You may have incorrect permissions.
[UserFolder] = my profil folder on drive c (german windows xp)
the strange in this case is : i am admin on this computer

Or execute straight from RocksnDiamondsPortable\Apps\rocksndiamonds or somthing like that.

It's kinda scary when my desktop is messier than my room...
in the app folder it is possible to run the app
but i think this is not the desired way ?!
Defiantly not the desired way, cause it's not portable at all, I just wanted to check if the problem was with the launcher, which it is, something with the language of the launcher. I'll take a look.
Edit: I actually have no idea.

to activate a debugmode or something like that to support your investigation ?
It basically means that Rocks'n'Diamonds Portable could not copy your settings to your documents folder. Unfortunately, this can't be avoided, as Rocks'n'Diamonds has the path hard-coded.
If you are absolutely sure that you can write to My Documents, I'll make up a diagnostic version for you.

I got the same error some other folks got about not having permissions, despite me being the administrator. It didn't launch from the launcher, nor directly opening the file from Windows Explorer.
I'm in WinxXP.
