This is my favorite IRC client, and I would dearly love to see it become portable. Is there any hope of this? Here's the link: http://www.icechat.net/site/
I would be so grateful if someone could somehow make this great client portable. Thanks in advance!

I see no mention on their website about the program being Open Source at all and I don't see a place to download the sourcecode.

*sighs* Yeah, it's just freeware - not open source. My bad. Anyone out there able to make an installer for this thing? I've no clue where/how to get the source code.

I'm sure somebody could make a launcher for it if they have time. It looks like a decent app.

That would make me positively ecstatic. Anyone out there willing to take this on? It's a great program and being able to run it from my USB stick would make it even greater!

Your Google-Fu is weak, young one.
Kidding aside...I found, compiled, and portableized IceChat 9 RC2. Which I will gladly share. Only thing. I haven't made an installer. xD That part I haven't figured out. Everything works aside from the graphical smileys.
EDIT: Here is the promised portable-app: http://www.multiupload.com/KA5B5JJYJ3
AND...here is the location of the source-code: http://icechat.codeplex.com/SourceControl/list/changesets
Enjoy.
Erm.. IceChat requires .net. And since it needs .net, it's not properly portable (Or even able to be made properly portable!). Also, are you ensuring that the files and whatnot it leaves behind aren't left behind, etc.?
Use the search box! Please!
Yeah, I realize that and afaik, the only "trace" files it makes are in the %LocalAppData% folder. So, once I get that done, it'll be portable enough seeing as .NET isn't able to be portableized.
