Yadadisk portable Disk Encryption Released

Hi Folks

We have just released a new, free, open-source XP app that's designed for USB/Flash disks but also works on any Windows folder. It's called Yadadisk, and consists of only one file, with no install required - truly portable. You just drop it where you want to encrypt content and run the exe. At only 60k it's pretty tiny, too, but still offers secure AES128 encryption.

Its just what you need to keep your Portableapps safe in transit or on your hard drive.

After two attempts to contact the people at Portableapp.com with no reply we have put it on our own site, if anyone knows a good way to contact the people who run this please met me know

Relax...

Relax. You sent me that email about Yadadisk 45 hours before posting this message. I'll get to it.

Yes. Relax!

Please remember that all of the apps that are provided on this site are FREE.

Please allow the one man, development, support, advertising, maintenace, and all around jack of all trades a little time to respond.

Thanks for all you are doing John, I have found your applications to be most useful for myself!

Hi

I think it's ok! It takes a bit of time though to encrypt. I have some large programs/files (i.e. miktex: 100mb) which would not need encryption, it would be nice if one could specify a few paths (preferably also saveable in a config?) to encrypt/decrypt.

We had been really wanting

We had been really wanting to keep it as simple as possible, as I think that has a lot of appeal.

Perhaps we could take your idea even further and have it as it is now but, if a cfg file is found in the same folder it will take some options from that? So you can exclude paths, use faster, less secure encryption, all with great control from the config file.

Thanks for the idea, appreciated:)
