Every time I open up Portable Sumatra, my Webroot Spy Sweeper immediately quaranteens Adware called "Maxifiles" which Webroot rates as "very high" on the severity scale.
Is Spy Sweeper making a mistake or does Sumatra have Adware in it??

Since my last posting about adware in Portable Sumatra, I downloaded the install.exe at http://blog.kowalczyk.info/software/sumatrapdf/ and the full installation works fine without any warnings from Spy Sweeper.
Only the portable version sets Spy Sweeper off.

Then that means (probably) that it is a false positive with the portable launcher. so someone needs to contact webroot about this

As always, it's a false positive. Please re-read the reporting guidelines at the top of the support page. Unless you get confirmation from another antispyware or antivirus product, it doesn't mean anything.

just because an the author of a program says that there isnt malware in a product doesnt actually mean there isnt malware in it. IM NOT SAYING portable app "products" do cuz all we have to do is check the source. thats all im saying. also what do u mean by "wondering" its really obivous what i wanted "so someone needs to contact webroot about this" LOL
