Can't run Menu App

I have had problems using my portable apps menu on a work network. It works normally at home and on other work networks.

The menu won't open, and says it is generating an error log. The platform is Windows 2000, and I previously used the same apps on this network without problems.

I suspect the network admin have changed a security setting or something ... and I'm asking for their help, but does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

Have you.

Intalled the 1.0 to 1.0.0.1 patch that's listed on the suite page?

I'm pretty sure I did,

I'm pretty sure I did, though I will try reinstalling the patch just in case.

I guess you might be right though, this is the only system that I've tried that's runs Windows 2000 . . .

It even works on Ubuntu under Wine . . . in case anyone's interested.

Actually.

All the app pages will state if they run under Wine. And John tests under Ubuntu.

My stupid mistake

The patch fixed the problem. I should have remembered that. My problems were compounded by a ?registry problem which prevented Firefox from loading (either from my USB stick or from the hard drive). My system administrator deleted my settings and set me up again and now everythings hunky-dory!

The menu app does work on Ubuntu, though I have noticed the exit 'X' doesn't see to work.

I'm sure its too much to ask, but a native Linux version would be awesome!

No problem.

I don't know about the menu, but I know John says he was planning to do some portable apps for Linux at some point or another.
