Portable apps and documents on the same USB drive?

New to the forum but have been a long-time reader. I have recently looked at the "What's on your portable#2?" thread and noticed a number of users who have a large number of portable apps on relatively small drives.

I was wondering, do most of you keep portable apps on a USB drive and documents? Or put all your apps on one drive and keep another one free for documents/data?

I'm asking because I have quite a few apps on my 1GB USB drive (600MB free) but was considering putting the apps on a 512MB USB drive I have and keeping the 1GB free for documents/data.

Just curious what anyone else does.

I have both apps and Data on

I have both apps and Data on the same drives. I keep a small number of critical docs (like medical info, prescription meds list, resume, and the like) on my #2 (4gig) USB stick I carry in my pocket. My primary portable drive is a 120gig WD Passport with all my doc & data backups, along with my apps. That just moves between my laptop bags depending on the day of week (work or weekend).

What do you need 1 GB for??

What do you need 1 GB for?? Shock
I use 50 megs, where less than 1 is actually for documents and the rest are some caches and temporary files.

Both.-

I have quite a lot of PApps in my 1Gb Markvision JOGR, about 400 Mb, and the rest is Docs and other files I use...

In fact I'm not using Apps installed in any of my computers not even at work, my computer and "My Documents" folder is my PDrive (without Music or videos, those are intermediately burned in CDs).

I have more and less 120 Mbs free.

And I'm going to buy a 4Gb Markvision JOGR soon.

I just use one

I have a 4gb now, and originally started out with a 2 gb when I started PortableApps, and I have both my apps and my backup documents on it, as well as some random 'in transition' working documents. And my websites on it. Mainly because of the backup feature to backup everything essentially important to me.
And I transfer big media files on it now as well, so the large size is important.

I have this much

1GB USB Drive: 592 MB (621,048,392 bytes)
500GB Hard Drive: 5.48 GB (5,889,408,177 bytes)
On both is just the ?:\PortableApps folder. I am going to empty out the hard drive of some unneeded apps soon though. That should clear up a gb or two.
And m2 I wish I had more! On my 1gb I am always having to empty stuff (including portable apps) off to make room for more!
