Can't get mirror to work

I use the mirror function to back up bookmarks, because simply copying them over will mean deleted bookmarks are still present in the back up folder.

But I can't seem to get mirror to work in Toucan. It starts and goes straight to Finished...without doing anything. Anyone found the same?

Still does't work, every

Still does't work, every folder is the same. Even if the destination folder is empty, mirror doesn't do anything and the destination folder stays emtpy.

But it's still a great app. I'll just delete the destination files and use the copy function when I do back ups.

I have the same problem. It

I have the same problem. It works only when I check the "Preview" box.

I would like to ask when I use "mirror" or "equalise" function, will the destination files be overwritten once more or just leave them? In the preview windows, it seems all files will be overwritten again even two folders are the same. If the files are overwritten again, I think it will waste time.

Hmm,

you are all right, there is indeed a bug with the mirror function, I'll get a patch up asap.

I'm

not quite sure that I understand your question. Equalise is equivalent to running Update in both directions, so it will only copy files that are newer. Mirror always copies all of the files in the Source directory because it wants an exact copy, an theoretically even if two files had the same timestamps they could still have different contents

Sorry for my poor english.

Sorry for my poor english. My question is: It seems that when two folders are the same, the sync(mirror) process still overwrote the destination files once more.
For example:
Starting...
Copied \help.html
Preview Finished...
Copied \help.html
Finished...
Form the log, I can see the help.html file will copy to the destination folder even the help.html already exists in destination folder. That will rise a probelm: If the destination have 10G of files, the sync process will copy 10G of files to destintaion folder and waste the copying time. My suggestion is only compare the two folders, copy files when necessary. I don't know whether I explain clearly. However, thanks for your program.

Same issue here

I have a source network drive G:\directory\subdirectory\ and destination as my stick at F:\directory\subdirectory\ and the mirror isn't working. As other users have stated if the preview is selected it works, otherwise no dice.

I got a c:\documents\tom

I got a c:\documents\tom

and I got a f:\documents\ tom

I then delete tom from c:\documents\ I then use mirrow but nothing happens. I know you said it was bugged but I was just suggesting how to replicate the problem.

Exist

I think the directory has to exist (the error checking may not check for that)
