I am trying to use Firefox from a CD. I got it to autorun and everything but now I am trying to get it to use the bundled Sumatra PDF portable as the default PDF reader. However, whenever I launch FFP, it grabs the profile from the Firefox installed on the machine, which happens to have Acrobat reader installed. When I am in FPP and go to the manage extensions screen, it shows all the extensions for the host Firefox, not the few that are included in FFP. How can I get FFP to use Sumatra from the CD?

The mimetypes trick that I use to get Firefox Portable to work with other apps does not work from CD.

so there is no way to accomplish this? not even if i use the launcher?
would it work if i zipped up PFF and had it unzip itself and then run from the computer (thus defeating the purpose, but providing the user experience we want for the website we are trying to promote)?
You can't re-distribute Firefox Portable with any changes, anyway.
