after clicking on "start portableapps" in the autoplay menu, i get another menu asking what should windows use to open the file with.
already tried this on a few xp machines and i still get the same thing.
any idea?

you'd only get that if the exe was corrupt and Windows didn't think it was an exe
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
if i browse to the exe and run it, the menu loads. everything works fine, except for the autoplay bit.
I have seen that before... is a trojan that spread over pen drives... show hidden and system files and delete everything you have not stored in your drive... also run spyware terminator on all those PCs...
