Hi, What happnes if you try to make MS office portable?? I mean just launch it automatically.

Not going to happen. Microsoft Office is basically tied to the registry. It registers lots and lots of ActiveX controls, and uses the registry extensively for just about everything. Making it portable would be a nightmare, assuming it could even be done.
It can be done..... I just insttalled it to my drive, but you have to use it on a computer that has an existing MS OF Insttalation.
Exactly. Microsoft Office puts a lot of stuff into C:\WINDOWS\system32. Copying C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office isn't enough... and even if it were, there are a ton of ActiveX controls that have to be registered (requires Administrator privileges) for it to work. Even once you get past all these obstacles, Microsoft Office stores its settings in the registry.
So yeah. Office is the antithesis of a portable application.

Yes, but you still have the obstacle of needing admininstrative privileges in order to actually register an OCX in the first place. Without admin rights, you can't register the control.
See, to be truly portable, the program should be able to run on a limited/standard user account. That's half the reason for having portable apps in the first place: you can take them anywhere and still be able to run them. Most public-access computers aren't going to give admin rights to standard users--nor should they.
to be honest the one with CCleaner does not require admin prvilages, I tested that and also it was suprise for me
