Hi,
I can read this information on keepass website, http://keepass.info/index.html
* KeePass 1.x: Runs on all Windows systems without any prerequisites. Does not need to be installed; is portable. Fewer features than 2.x.
* KeePass 2.x: Runs on Windows XP and higher with Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or higher installed. Does not need to be installed; is portable.
http://keepass.info/compare.html (at the top of this page)
So here is my question, what is the difference between Keepass portable and original keepass when developpers tell : "Does not need to be installed; is portable"
Thanks in advance.
It puts it into the PortableApps.com format so it works with the Backup utility included in the PortableApps Platform (Suite, Base Edition) and upcoming tools.

Keepass2 depends on .NET 2.0 and therefore it is not portable
no matter what the creator claims .
It will not run if .NET 2.0 isn't installed on the host
so you won't be able to access your passwords on a majority of
public computers.
KeePass Portable is more portable than KeePass as it will adjust your most recent directory as you move PCs... so, if you set it to automatically open, it will automatically open your KeePass DB on launch even when you switch PCs and your drive letter changes. It also installs into and automatically works with the PortableApps.com Menu.
The 2.0 version can't be considered portable since it uses .NET. .NET apps aren't portable.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Many thanks to all that have been replied to this subject. I have a better knowledge about the interest of this modification.
Thanks for your job on this application and all other !
