Except for some Mozilla Apps John doesnt make Betas portable.

You can copy it into the AbiWordPortable\App\AbiWord directory and it should work.
I don't post betas of things like AbiWord. We don't want non-geeks using betas. I only do the Mozilla apps because there are so many people that want to test them, testing is very difficult without the portable version and it would be easy to mess up important stuff like your email or bookmarks and saved passwords. If you mess something up with an AbiWord beta, the most you lose is your preferences for AbiWord.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
