???

Why would you want to use this browser in the first place? How is it better than Firefox?

The AOL browser is

The AOL browser is proprietary, not open source. Under the current 'house rules', it is not supportable here unless someone wants to create just a launcher.

Ok, I can accept some people

Ok, I can accept some people suggesting freeware apps. I can even (barely) understand people asking for portable IE, but I really can't fathom the want, need, use or reason for portable AOL browser. If you are still using the AOL browser, download portable FireFox now and learn to use it... I have had so many calls from people telling me that AOL has caused a crash/bug/problem of some kind.

Summary: Don't use it, let alone suggest it.

A running joke...

...in my family goes something like this:

Wwhenever my sister calls me for computer help, I ask her if she's still running AOL. The answer is still "yup", even after she's had so much problems w/ it screwing up her PC.

...on HP.

Them, and Logitech, are two companies I will never buy any significant hardware from ever again (the occasional mouse or such are exceptions, cuz mice are a dime a dozen, and seldom require tech support).
LOUSY tech support, and sketchy troubleshooting info available on their websites.

As for software, I'll never buy another Symantec/Norton product ever again, due to their adopting of M$'s outrageous "user activation" scheme.
Ditto with M$ products, for the same reason, and also just on general principle...

/end rant
