After creating a portable Scribus based on someone else's code, I decided to try creating a portable app myself, doing the launcher coding myself. (I code with Autoit rather than NSIS)
RSSOwl is an open source RSS Reader. Even though they provide a non-installer download, it still saves profile files on the computer itself. So, I've put together RSSOwl so that it does not do this.
You can download it here:
.Zip, about 5.3MB
Tell me what you think. Tell me if you encounter any problems. (Most problems you encounter are probably RSSOwl bugs... so tell them)
It's Java based. Not good...

That's certainly a problem, isn't it? I had completely spaced it out. At least it works when a computer does have java on it.
I created a page for this on the Quate Newsnet (It contains more information about it):

It's still a cool program!

You can use this software. I personally consider it excellent! http://www.curiostudio.com
I prefer you to try this one Feedreader : http://www.feedreader.com/ !!!
I love this client. It has a portables version.)
I use google reader, which is a nice RSS reader by google that works in any browser. all you need is a google account, and if you use gmail, google calendar, you are already setup.
My Firefox Portable(or my home firefox) add RSS feeds right to google reader, and then I can view it from any computer, with any web browser. simple, clean, easy. I'd check it out.
