Evaluation and Registration
EditPlus is not free software. You may use this software for evaluation purposes without charge for a period of 30 days. If you use this software after the 30 day evaluation period, you must pay registration fee.
Distribution of the evaluation version
You may copy the evaluation version of this software and documentation as you wish, and give exact copies of the original evaluation version to anyone, and distribute the evaluation version of the software and documentation in its unmodified form via electronic means. But you should not charge or requesting donations for any such copies however made and from distributing the software and/or documentation with other products without the author's written permission.
Registered version
One registered copy of EditPlus may either be used by a single person who uses the software personally on one or more computers, or installed on a single workstation used non-simultaneously by multiple people, but not both. You may access the registered version of EditPlus through a network, provided that you have obtained individual licenses for the software covering all workstations that will access the software through the network.
We could do a launcher for it, but we can't include it. Straight from the license: EditPlus is not free software.

can someone write a launcher only? I think EditPlus license allows it to be used as a portable app.

Not sure what, if anything, ever became of this. I personally prefer EditPlus over Notepad++ (which has been built into PApps) and it'd be great if this can be done. Even just a launcher would be convenient. If it matters, though, it'd be nice if this applied to EditPlus 3 as well.
Dunno if anyone is interested,
However....
Utilizing this write up... you can create an EXE for a relative path shortcut.
http://www.freewaregenius.com/2008/07/24/how-to-create-shortcuts-with-a-...
If you put a folder (let's use EditPlus as an example)...
EditPlusPortable in the PortableApps directory, and the Exe inside is named EditPlus.exe
Now... to make edit plus portable, you can use the Portable App Creator
https://portableapps.com/node/9909
So your shortcut points to the launcher.exe file created by the PAC.
What you end up with is an Edit Plus icon in the app list which launches your created portable version of Edit Plus.
The legality of doing this for applications should be reviewed by their own EULA.
I created a portable version & installer for Editplus 3. As I have a registration key for this guy, I didn't expect what happened: EditPlus 3 Portable stays as a trial version. No way to register it. The trial period is supposed to be 30 days, but I created it this afternoon so I don't know if the countdown actually works.
I'll try to make the registration process work in the portable version, because as it is, it's pretty much useless. So I won't bother posting the Installer in the Testing forum...
