I'm not too sure how much interest there would be in this, but it's an open source app that checks for web page updates.

Sounds cool.
P.S. Was it you that found that Restoration utility on SF? I can't find the post anymore, if it was, please link me.

The app only gets between 1 and 8 download per day usually (with 2 different single day spikes in the last month).
Not surprising, really, as RSS feeds have rendered tools like this pretty obsolete.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I'd rather have something that could monitor my servers and let me know when they go down. Anybody know of something portable that could do the trick?
Something portable or otherwise? (There is a ton of software out there to monitor servers.)
Cancer Survivors -- Remember the fight, celebrate the victory!
Help control the rugrat population -- have yourself spayed or neutered!
I know there are a lot of solutions to monitor servers...but I am looking for something portable that will simply check for specific text on a page and alert if it doesn't find it.
Portable because I work out of several different places and travel frequently.
The tracon mentioned in all the readme's?

There's SiteDelta or wfx_Versions (specifically for checking version numbers).
I have never used the former, but I use the latter daily. It makes more sense to have such a utility as an extension for Firefox than a standalone program.
Vintage!
