http://i12.tinypic.com/6h6bwat.jpg
and it has bug, i tried to decrypt a file which has not been encrypted, the file become unreadable.. after that I encrypt the file again but the file won'r come back.. so I suggest you must check if the file has already been encrypted or not..
thanks
We'll need your version number and encryption algorithm (Blowfish or Rijindael).

1.1.2.0
I don't know what is the enrcryption algorithm.. I only select the file and push the button..
As of 1.2, Toucan automatically adds the .tenc (I think) extension to encrypted files.
Steve will probably comment further on this when he sees it.

No, the latest version is still in beta, it's in the Beta Testing forum.

Signature...What Signature?
for not getting back sooner, this looks like you were trying to decrypt a read-only file, could you have a look and see (if you still have it). This issue should have been fixed in the latest 1.2 Betas that have been mentioned, look out for a full release of 1.2 next week.

no problem
the file is an image file as you can see.. i checked it, it has no attribute, not hidden/read only/archive.
I'll be waiting for your work
thanks for the good software
I had encrypted a folder containing a few thousand images around 10 days back using toucan. But now i have forgot the password that was set and i am unable to decrypt these images.
Pls help. It's a genuine request.
I have a similar problem, but i tried to decrypt the files with a wrong password and the program didn't show a error messages. After that i tried to decrypt the same files with the correct password and the files are still unusable.
have i losed all my files? is there the possibility to recover the files? what should i do to recover those files?
Thanks a lot,
I had the same problem dude, i accidentally tried to decrypt them with the wrong password and then i tried to decrypt them using the correct password, but nothing happened. The program doesnt even show an Error if you decrypt using the wrong password.
Some serious changes needed in this program now. I have the correct password with me now, but still cant open any of the images with that.
Is there a chance i can recover those files using the new version 1.2.
Let me know!!
