Hi although I know this probably won't happen I'm just throwing it out ther and hoping someone will think about it I would love a launcher for iWork stuff cause I'm a student and the school uses all macs and I cant install apps without much hassle and workarounds.

As all of ya should know Micro$oft is the Evil Empire, and Windows (a.k.a. Winblows or Windoze) is their greatest general, so please make a difference and install Linux or FreeBSD on yer Windows comp.

Please Stop.

You're first two posts here were rude and solved nothing. Other people will have the same views about Windows, and even Linux. It's a matter or personal preference. Please stop making negative comments.

what would it take?

To my understanding (naturally flawed by inherent ignorance), many Mac applications (OS X), are bundled into *.app packages, and to that extent may already be somewhat "portable". That being said, some/many apps may store their .plist outside of the .app bundle, so tracking them down might require some work. Also, many of the applications that are popular on the mac are not open-source (iLife, iWork, etc.), so they wouldn't be legal to modify in any way. So...most of this might be rather prohibitive. just some thoughts...

as for windows applications running on the mac, there are various ways to do that (i'm fond of vmware's fusion). there is a wine for the mac, but i've no experience with it. don't much care for wine myself, but that's just a personal prejudice.
