firefox portable cannot run

running fportable from my flash drive for past 2 months and yesterday i get a message that it cannot run from a read only location. but my flash drive isnt read only and so are the folders in it! i'm lost.

thanks guys! i'm running windows XP. but i believe there are corrupted files on it... strange things is that i also had a folder called portable apps on itt and i had several program installation files there and now the folders is mysteriously empty... but anyway ff portable was a dream come tru tome till i cant run it no more. i introduced at least 30 of my friends to portableapps.com ... i glad i did.

It happened to me

If a drive as corrupt files in Linux, it will say that it is a read only place in Wine. Your drive may have a corrupt file, probably a file that Portable Firefox uses. Use another OS and try to run from that one. Normally Windows tells to use a command line app. A ch-something-something.
I'm supposing that you're using Wine on Linux. If it is not that OS that you're running, I may be wrong.

thanks for the support guys. apparently running ffportable from a flash drive that is used to save other data as well becomes heavily fragmented in short time. a simple defrag solved the prob. ffportable is running again and i'm free once more... : )
