Is there a way for me to save my files as a playlist?
Probably a dumb question but you don't know if you don't ask.

Not a dumb question
Just the wrong place to ask. I know the forums at http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ are not as good as here, but this is not a portable issue. Check the documentation there first and let us know if you cannot find an answer.
