Sync Causes Corruption

I have just started to use the Toucan Sync function.

I am using an "update" from my USB to my "MyDocs"

I had assumed that this was working OK however, I just tried to run OO from "MyDocs" (the USB versions works OK).

Configuration data in file:///c:/documents%20and%20Settings/rgoodman/My%20Documents/ProtableApps/PortableApps/openOfficePortable/App/openoffice/share/uno_pckages/cache/registry/cm.sun.star.comp.deployment.configuration.PackageRegistryBackend/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/Substitution.xcu is corrupted. Without this data some functions may not operate correctly. Do you want t continue startup of openOffice.org without te corrupted configuration data?

It then just goes into a loop of error/reload.

I know my source (USB) works, it's nly the copy to my docs created by sync that does this.

Any ideas?

Ross

Hmmm,

a couple of questions, does this still happen in the latest beta (see the beta testing forums) and is it only open office that is affected?

Dunno

I tend not to look at the beta area, I use my Portable Apps for work so I prefer to stay on "stable" releases.

I have not found any other areas where this occurs, I have ended up on a PC without office so i thought I would do some editing using my "backup" of my USB.

Did,

you have a copy of open office open when you copied it, it sounds like some files are missing. If you then copy (using explorer) the open office folder over the top and tell it not to overwrite any files then does it copy anything?

Nope

OO was not open at the time, I wanted to run it from the HD rather than the USB.

I tried the copy trick but no files were copied, I checked and the file it was complaining about does exist !
