Just wanted to let you know FileZilla 3.0 Final is now out. Looking forward to seeing it as FileZilla Portable.
All the portable apps are great. Thanks for the great work!

As has been stated dozens of times, I'm automatically notified. And 3.0 has already been discussed in the forums.
I'm debating about releasing an updated 2.x alongside 3.0 since 3.0 disappointingly ditches some of the useful features in terms of portability in 2.x.

Kinda like KeePass. I sure it is not the same issue, but you cannot use KeePass 2.0 portably unless you have .net installed.
Having both versions would make sense.

As 4 you wsm, I don't like it that KeePass 2.0 uses .Net. I don't think any app should use .Net. What are we gonna do when 2.0 becomes a majn release? I guess John will have 2 find a way to portabilize .Net with a launcher or something.

As all of ya should know Micro$oft is the Evil Empire, and Windows (a.k.a. Winblows or Windoze) is their greatest general, so please make a difference and install Linux or FreeBSD on yer Windows comp.
I think Keepass 1.07 works just fine for me. I do not know of any major bugs. I am sure 2.0 offers some additional features, but I am very satisfied with the current KPP. We are talking about a password manager that leaves not traces on the host PC. KPP does this for me. I will not be upgrading to 2.0.
There seem to be two reasons for upgrading software.
I know as geeks and wanna-be-geeks, we are always looking for the latest and greatest. I am sure there is a better program than KeePass available now or will be in the future, but I am OK with 1.07 for now.

Didn't you read the post about ".NET Apps Are Not Portable", go search for it. And in the KeePass forum John says that 1.0 will be maintained here, and someone will probably fork it.

Wow, I just noticed I still had a signature, that's enough of that.
The authors of Keepass have stated that support and development of Keepass 1.x will continue indefinitely. You can see their statement here: http://keepass.info/devstatus.html#status1x

1.0 and 2.0 will be developed in tandem. They should REALLY rename 2.0 to KeePass.net or something.

I've personally worked with .Net apps, compared to vanilla C++ apps and it's a hell of a lot easier to work with. But, I never distribute .Net apps.

to be honest I love the .net framework. I have used both VB.net and C#.net and I prefer both to the C++ I use for Toucan. When it is on more than 90% of PC's I know what I'm writing on.

I have to agree. C# is much easier than C++ or AutoIt.
