Memory usage up and down is it my fault ..?

I'm running Firefox Portable 2.0.07 and ive been tweaking it ( should have known better )
for some reason now when I surf , the memory usage constantly fluctuates up and down
all the time ( from 30% to 90% ) ive disabled all my add on's and only run Noia 2.0 eXtreme Theme.

when I close Firefox Portable the Memory usage goes back to normal with no vast fluctuations at all
when I re start firefox portable the fluctuations instantly start again..?

is there any way I can get back to the original default settings ( I can't remember where ive Tweaked !! )
or can any one please offer me some advice on the Memory fluctuation Problem and how to fix it..

Thanks Mypenry

FF issue not FFPE.

This is a common FF issue, it really does not have anything to do with FFPE other than the app can hang and make it difficult to eject a drive if FF is still running.

Copy

Copy:

\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\Data\profile\bookmarks.html

to a new location and copy it back in after install.

Have an Awesome Day!

Backup
  1. If you are running PAM then do a backup of your data files.
  2. If no PAM then copy your profile which can be found here: \PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\Data\profile
  3. Install right over the existing version (your profile should be saved)
  4. Or you can use a complete fresh install and copy your profile back in after, this will not only save your bookmarks, but cookies, passwords, extensions, themes, etc.

You will only need the backups if something goes wrong. The profile is saved during an install, but it is ALWAYS a good idea to backup.
