hello i installed firefox and thunderbird om my usb flash. I'm behind proxy. I configured firefox and he connects to internet well. so does thunderbird: in lower window of thunderbird opens "welcome to thunderbird" page, but i can't download any mail from any mail provider: "failed to connect to server pop.xxx.com. so what is solution?

... that Your proxy blocks pop3 ports for security reasons.
A well configured proxy will block all connection to pop3( eg. port 110).
Look at the homepage of You mail provider which Port is offered for alternative pop3
connections or use smtp or imap instead of pop3.
Ask Your administrator for the needed settings
