Hi,
After installing The portable apps suite on 2 different usb drives I have noticed a TREMENDOUS slowdown on both. Just deleting files takes forever. Under device manager both drives seem to be using General USB as opposed to enhanced usb. What gives and how can I remedy the situation.
Everything installed fine but now if I want to install or delete apps or files it takes ridiculously long. Open Office portable takes 2 hours to install.

..you are plugged into a USB 2.0 port? On one of my PC's the front ports are 2.0 and the back are 1.0.

Yes, both my laptop and Desktop are usb 2.0.
It gets weirder. My older files and apps that are not associated with portable apps transfer/delete at normal speed. The slowdowns only seem to happen when I try to install a portable app program or transfer programs to the portableapps folder.
edit: Its definitely JUST the portableapps folder. I deleted everything else fine and the 160mb portableapps folder containing the program files is going to take 20-30 minutes to delete!??
Is the folder unusually deep, or is it on the root of the drive? a long file path could make Windows take much longer to read and process the DELETE action.
