... Can anyone get the portable version to minimize to tray using SunTray? If so, how? It's not working for me.

the MinimizeToTray extension? I know it has some small issues with Sunbird (to be precise, it causes Sunbird to open twice on startup), but they're not that big a problem, and otherwise it works perfectly.
I'm running Sunbird 0.5 and installed Minimize to Tray Enhancer 0.7.5.3
I pulled the blue minimize icon from the options and posted it on the tool bar..
It doesn't work..
Hand me a clue?

Ask over at mozillaZine.org or ask the Minimize to Tray author. This is not related to Sunbird Portable.

One of us is confused
All we do is make it portable. So, we support that portableness. If you have a question around that, here is the right place to post.
If you have a general Sunbird question, then that should be directed to regular Sunbird support (mozillaZine.org). In your case, you're having an extension issue, so you'd need to ask the extension author on their support page or maybe check mozillaZine to see if anyone else is having the same problem.

http://minimizetotray.mozdev.org/ for TB. I have not gotten it to work on FF. it was kinda buggy. I don't know if it would work for Sunbird. It says it works with FF, TB, Suite, and NVU.
There is a FAQ about Sunbird here with a suggestion for an alternative also.
