MULTIPLE PROFILES

Can you revisit the creation of multiple profiles in TBP? I specifically use several email accounts for work. Rapid access to multiple email accounts w/o launching several TBP launchers is a definite help.

I read the forum under U3- TBP. J. Haller states that not much demand has shown for it.

The "ini" sections have failed me to no avail. Yes, I read why too...per J. Haller. I am not a programmer either..nor do i wish to engage in this endeavor. I will leave it to the technology wizards who created these awesome capabilities.

So therefore, J. Haller or anyone working on U3- TBP, can you folks plz revisit this issue and create a TBP- create profile wizrd...similar to thunderbird.exe -profilemanager.

Thanks!

?

I have 7 mail accounts in the same profile... I don't understand why you want to place each account in a different profile...

If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
and the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
and the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report Biggrin

Exactly.

Multiple profiles are for segregating user configurations and/or users rather than supporting multiple email accounts for a single user.

In addition to supporting multiple email accounts on multiple servers with separate or combined folders, that single profile is also where all of your preferences, extensions, themes, filters and other user configuration is stored.

It would be unusual for an end-user to need multiple profiles of TB Portable. In the off chance you really do need it (development or testing, for instance), you can simply install TBP twice, into separate directories. Only one profile can be active at a time, however.

Hope this helps. -hea
