PNotes 2.5.0

Hi!
Would it be the self promotion, if I'll call attention to PNotes version 2.5.0?:)
http://lamer.byethost32.com/files/PNotes2.5.0.0.zip
(the link does not work direct - as usual - copy and paste it into address window)
The most important new: added "skinless" mode. These notes could be resized to any reasonable size.
Some small features added as well.

Any comments and suggestions are welcome.

Well...

No Smile
Long time no see. Ill try it right away.

EDIT

Is fully portable, just needs to get packed.
I like the "send to" feature but could you make the email proggy specifyable so it can be used with TBP?
Something like relative paths stored in the ini or something...

And turn one line of code

And turn one line of code into several functions, with bugs, crashes and testing? I'm too lazy Wink Today it's TBP, tomorrow - The Bat or Opera, and each other with it's own way for preparing message. Let it call the default e-mail client. Yes, there are certain discomforts while using it, for example, from USB drive on another's computer, but I'll rather comment this line of code out.:)

DefaultMyTBP ;)

Maybe Ryan could make a DefaultMyTBP ;). That would solve this and other problems.

But it should be quite the contrary: 2% for school and 98% for food, sleep and other pleasant things! Smile

Progress on Settings Location

Any chance you got the ability to have the settings in a different location for this release (via command line switch or environment variable) so we can get it in PortableApps.com Format without having the launcher move files back and forth?

Do you mean to send the settings location via command line? Something like:
PNotes.exe -p "C:\blablabla\notes.ini""?

Yes

That way PNotes can be in PNotesPortable\App\PNotes and its data can be in PNotesPortable\Data so PortableApps.com Backup can easily backup its settings.

Which form the command line

Which form the command line will you send:
1. Include the INI file, i.e "C:\blablabla\notes.ini"
2. Without the INI file, i.e. "C:\blablabla\"
3. Without the INI file and without last backslash, i.e. "C:\blablabla"

But what is the way the other application, hosted here, get this command line?
What's the way PortableApps.com Suite do it?
I should know exactly, what is the switch? -conf or something else?
Or it can be any of mine?
Actually, this is the question, because finding this switch, I can then check whether or not the command line includes the file name or slash and add them if necessary.

Either 2 or 3

It will be either 2 or 3; I'm almost 100% certain it would be 3, as that's how the other launchers do it. We can adapt though. Smile

Nice now i don't have to have paper all over my desk

But one thing i am not sure but when i launched it for the first time well i was playing with the options to see wat it could do. and when i finally went to post a note my computer freeze up and starting beeping every time i click. The mouse won't even move. Then i finally get an error message saying Windows Display driver Stop working. thats all i managed to get form the error. I had to manually restart my computer. I don't think it was the PNotes that caused it tho. Maybe because i had so many programs running at once.

Well, here is the new build which accepts configuration file location via command line:
http://lamer.byethost32.com/files/PNotes2.5.0.1.zip
The switches are -conf or -config
The usage:
PNotes.exe -conf "C:\blahblahblah"
or
PNotes.exe -conf "C:\blahblahblah\"
or
PNotes.exe -conf "C:\blahblahblah\Notes.ini"

No links for his stuff seem to work...they all either redirect or give a 404. But if you copy the URL and paste it into the address bar, then hit Enter, it takes you to the correct location

Yes they do.

As you see in the first post, copy the link manually into browser.
I tried them both, they work if you do it that way for some reason...

@ lamer - In the future please update original post instead of adding on. This makes it so much easier to find the latest & greatest app. Wink

Wow, I took way too long to finish posting! "Git" got it first. Biggrin

Yeh

Patrick told me before both of you Blum
I'm packaging it now. Available here. Would it be possible to either save the Notes.pndb to the conf directory too, or add another parameter to change it's location?
