R.I.P.

Looks like FF portable is R.I.P. Blum

Why idea of updating FFportable from autoupdate? "To upgrade to a newer version of Firefox Portable, just install a new copy of Firefox Portable right over your old one. All your data will be preserved." - new copy of FF _Portable_, not regular autoupdate...

Btw: I don't know, what this one is, but maybe...

Wow that is amazing

You are a member for 22min and you are already casting stones.

Mozilla FireFox Portable Edition is not RIP. If the link you gave directs you to a version of FFP then it is illegal. AFAIK only PA.com has permission to redistribute a portable version of FF.

Patience was the answer

Yes finally it went through, I'm not up to the level of you guys and expected the upgrade to take moments as it did with the pc version.
When the computer just hung I thought something was amiss, pleased to report that all is now sweet

It's a challenge :P

In my country it says something like that: when you are going mad, go mad all! Blum

FF 2.0.0.8 have security fixes -> This means, that FF 2.0.0.6 have knowing vulnerability -> Webbrowser with knowing vulnerability is dead program Blum -> FFP 2.0.0.6 is webbrowser -> FFP 2.0.0.6. is R.I.P ;P.
More serious, it is danger and should be not ignored by PA.

Link from my previous post is simply founded somewhere in google, I don't check it...

its not being ignored. the

its not being ignored. the lead developer here is constantly working, and a minor update to Firefox isn't as pressing of an issue as adding new apps to the final release status or updating the Menu, or setting up negotiatons for commercial and freeware applications, or allowing new developers to attempt making their own portable applications to eventually be hosted here.

The developer formerly known as ZGitRDun8705

Wow, it's working, it's working! :)

Looks like autoupdate from 2.0.0.6 to 2.0.0.8 works fine!!!
(Previous autoupdate to 2.0.0.7 try do something like "full update" and finally fail).
I do autoupdate, and FFP works fine as 2.0.0.8.

I do experiment: I remove almost every windows register key with word "firefox" (except files extension assignation), and FFP run well...

ps.: I have no fixed (non-portable) FF installed.

PA.com don't ignore problems ...

... but it seems that You ignore some facts.
*Work on the new FF Portable edition is in progress
*but only qa'd (tested) versions of PA Apps will be published
*someone have to do the work (for free ...) on developing and testing the Apps

So please cool down and don't post in such ironic way.

Update to 2.0.0.8

It seems that many people doesn´t understand the work involved in updating the code for a portable edition. Now, I think that you should consider a solution for the automated update to work correctly in the portable version of FF, I'm not the only one having trouble when trying to update in this way. Yes I know that many or most people could update to the new version with no problems, myself included, but it is not always like that.
