This seems a good place to start posting, so...here goes:
Has anyone here figured out any work-around app (preferably portable of course) on how to bypass Megaupload's "Exceed Download Limit"? I mean, aside from (God!) paying for premium services and turning off-on-resetting the dsl box? (which doesn't always work...and which would really be a problem at the office)
I know it has to do mostly with the IP address....anyone got any ideas? Megaupload3 and User Agent Switcher only fixes "Country limit slots...but not Download limits...and does not continue disconnects...

a little more details on this. Ur trying to exceed ur download limit? If u find out how tell me. I am running dsl and actual my download speed is 30kb/s if so much. It takes me weeks to download something big.

He's gone over the daily/weekly/whatever limit for his IP address on the Megaupload website and therefore he can't download anything else until he waits until the counter resets.
If he uses my method, he'll use up someone else's IP bandwidth allotment (the exit node of the TOR network) thereby bypassing the limit set on his IP. The connection is proxied, that's all.

Anways, even with TOR activated (FF extension TORbutton1.04.01) it still doesn't really work since the it'll just give the error:
"Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections."
when attempting to download from Megaupload or Rapidshare...
although...i havent really figured out the other TOR FF extension i have (FoxyProxy)if it'll somehow "dynamically" change my IP address (i monitor it using externalIP FF extension)

Well, I may be accused of being official but I do not think that this forum should suggest that people use applications like TOR to STEAL other peoples bandwidth.
Can I suggest that the moderators remove the comments suggesting this please.
This is a reputable site with good information, adding suggestions to use others is not something portableapps.com should propagate.
If you want more bandwidth than PAY for it like a good responsible person - don't steal it.

You're not STEALING people's bandwidth. You'd be USING bandwidth allocated by that TOR exit node.
1) If a person runs a TOR exit node, they take on the responsibility of knowing that things like what I described can happen. The TOR node's IP appears to the end website as the user' IP. It's called an anonymizing proxy.
2) You're not stealing bandwidth anymore than if I were to download a file thru your node. The exit node controls how much bandwidth of their internet connectionn can be used anyways. It's not like the TOR client user can control how much bandwidth they user from a node...unless they go slower than allowed...there is no going faster than allowed.
This is called a "workaround"...not stealing. Odds are that this user will end up using a TOR exit node in Eurpoe run by a person that has never even heard of Megaupload or never uses the site.

The use of these "applications" in Europe is against the european laws for telecommunication transmission (including internet) (check the wireless and data transmission act).
Whilst the US might not be so vigilant when it comes to this sort of access, Europe is. My comment was perfectly correct in that the site portableapps.com should not promote anything that is illegal, whether in US, Europe or elsewhere. The world is a big place and is not centric on the US.
I would be very annoyed if I was to find that my access to a site had been tampered with by someone else using my bandwidth.
I understand your reasoning to say "that if I used tor then I agree to it" - unfortunately the police don't agree especially if some illegal transactions took place.

If rapidshare is suitable for you, you may try using one of its SE - e.g. http://rapidqueen.com/ . Thus, without a premium account you will have access to all necessary info.
