I found wxChecksums 1.2 to be a great file integrity checker.. it's a relatively old application. It has a nice and simple Batch GUI interface and it uses MD5 and SFV algorithms, lightning fast and made for both Windows and Linux. I would very much like to see this app. portable for Windows
It looks easy to make portable, however I have no skill whatsoever in acomplishing this

winMd5Sum is good for most, but this looks advanced and much better for those that need it. I'll look into in, though I don't think it would be too popular.
Looks better than md5sum, especially if a GUI is really necessary. More form than function, but if MD5 and CRC32 are the only algorithms needed, and if a GUI is that important, it looks nice.
Vintage!
Are interested now.
I'll take a look.
Well, technically, I'm not too interested in the program myself (I already have a program that handles that job quite nicely), but I do think that some people may like it.
Vintage!
What do you use for md5 check? does it do multiple files at once like this one?
I've searched for other programs that batch folders with either MD5 or CRC32. This is the only app I found to do the job fast and efficient..and free for that matter.
Another good candidate would have been be FastSum 1.6 (there is also a freeware command line version) but: a. it's shareware b. it has skining (not even tasteful ) and it seems a bit jumbled.
I find this would be an excelent addition to an USB drive since flash memory is somewhat more sensitive in respect to data corruption in comparison to a fixed HDD.
Settings seem to be stored only in Application Data folder (at first glance). I'd prefer if there's an option to make them stored in the program dir or a command line switch to move them. I'll look into it.
Id does add a nice and practical shell ext but for me at least this is not realy necesary.
Obviously I dont expect a shell ext for a portable progr.. not even asking
The only thing that I dislike is the fact that it seems a tiny bit too big for what it does (2.6mb) and outdated icons.. irrelevant anyway
