Is there any one working on upgrading Sunbird Portable from version 0.5 to version 0.7 or even 0.8pre.
I do not have the software or the know-how to do it or I would.
I manually copied the 0.7 files from my hard disk to my USB stick and got 0.7 working but it would be nice if there was an official PortableApps.com release.

autoupdate within sunbird 0.5 to 0.7 . It works either.There´s someone working on upgrading the app for sure. But You don´t need a full upgrade of launcher and app for every minor change that´s released officially.So making a backup first and then looking for the substantial(?) changes by simply trying out the upgrade with the recent launcher and profile - as You did - seems to be the best solution for using sunbird.

I didn't know that .7 was out, but it updated today when I opened it. To be honest, I didn't see a difference, but I'm kind of a new user to Sunbird.
I've seen MANY forum posts over at the Mozilla pages that talk about how the new interface sucks, most of the people have gone back to .5
I just found out about lightening, the sunbird integration for thunderbird, and so far I love it. It's a little clunky at first, but now I have it working more to my liking than sunbird was.
