I tried and it worked... sort of. After checking for updates (don't ask, just curious) I got this error [AUS: Connection Refused]. I'll be patient and wait for John!
It updates what's in App\sunbird, which is just Sunbird itself, whereas the launcher is stored in a different place. Technically, they could all work with automatic updates if the apps themselves supported it.

With a fresh install, try to add the binaries to the App\Sunbird directory, should be good.

I had an issue where the incremental update didn't work, so it downloaded a full update after a restart. 3 restarts later I had an updated copy.
This may be a noob question, but wouldn't that give you the non-portable version? I thought only Tbird and Ffox would work on the incrementals.
