Just thought I would let people know about this. I have (or had) PortableApps installed on my OCZ Rally2 4Gig USB drive for about two months, and then files started disappearing. I checked with the manufacturer of my drive and they suggested I reformat it and start from scratch. Well, I did, and since then no files have disappeared.
I don't know if it was the Apps program or not, but I'm hesitant to install it again since I lost a lot of my design work. If anyone else has encountered this problem I would like to know. I really liked using the Apps and would like to use it again, but like I said I don't want to loose anymore files.

This kind of problem is usually a flash drive problem. I see no possible way the PortableApps.com apps and Menu could delete your files.
I'm here on the site so I think I'll give it one more shot. If it happens again then I guess it's my USB drive.

Absolutely. The only time your drive will fail is if you don't have a backup.

I never lost any files when it was just a straight USB drive so naturally I thought it was the Portable apps program. I just re-installed the Apps last night and added a few old Photoshop files (ones I won't miss if they disappear). I'll see what happens.
