Hi all
I'm trying to get the Smithtech applauncher util to work on my sandisk u3 drive.
I've successfully replaced the u3 partition with the custom iso that i downloaded from the smithtech website.
I also added truecrypt and its related files to the iso file using UltraISO so that it would keep my storage area clean.
when i try to add truecrypt as a startup option, clicking either the "save settings" or the "apply all" button gives me the following error:
Run-time error '-2147024891 (80070005)':
Access is denied.
I also get this error if i dont add any applications or parameters and just press either of the buttons.
I'm not sure what to try now..
my eventual aim is to have truecrypt start automatically when i insert the drive and ask me for a password to my encrypted partition file (which will be stored on the storage area part of the drive). And then have the drive mounted as the next available drive letter, if possible.
Does anyone know how i can fix the error or get truecrypt to start how i want?
-Colin
edit: after a bit more looking into it, i believe im getting the error because im trying to run truecrypt from the drive applauncher is on. it seems to work on when its on my storage area.
I guess its a bug in the program..
The app launcher wasn't designed to launch apps from the CD "partition"
its throwing the error because it is trying to launch it from the writable "partition" and not finding it.

Thanks for the reply, I realise that now
would it be possible to add it as a feature?

Anything is possible, if I ever get around to doing the planned re-write of the app, I'll concider adding it.
