Firefox could not install the file at...

FFirefox could not install the file at

https://addon.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/downloads/file/18996/batchdownlo...

because:Unexpected installation error.
Review the Error console log for more details.
-203

And when I went to the Error console:

[Exception..."Compnent returned failure code: 0x80520015 (NS_EROR_FILE_ACCESS_DENIED)...

No chrome package registered for chrome://duplicates/skin/duplicates-icon.png.

No chrome package.......................//chromatabs/skin/chomatabs.icon.png.

All my extensions I had downloaded are not installed. All I had was the default Firefox web browser.

Initially, when I used the portable hard disk at home, all of the extensions worked. But when I used at work, none of the extensions worked. Even updating or adding extensions, Firefox could not install the files.

Before using the same portable hard disk at work, all extensions worked. All updates worked.

I even format and wiped all the data on my portable hard disk and install portable apps as well as the extensions again, the Firefox could not install at work.

Help anyone!

hmm

It looks like writing data to removable drive is closed at your work PC. This can be done via group security policy or via additional applications.
Just check if you are able to write other files onto your flash drive at work.

Still a problem

Hello.
Thank you for your help.
I tried to save in the portable hard disk.
I can save data in my portable hard disk.

I don't know how to fix it...short of deleting the portable apps.

I've been having the same

I've been having the same problem lately. What's odd is that I'm having this problem on my home computer.

Save / Open

Save it locally and then open it (File - Open). Firefox sometimes has issues with extension installations when the cache is disabled.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Ah. So do I need to

Ah. So do I need to reinstall all my extensions for them to work again, or is that a separate problem?

Corrupt

You have a corrupt extensions.rdf or similar file. Your current extensions won't work nor will you be able to add new ones until you fix it (usually by deleting it). Google it a bit.
