i just thought that it could strart like from a cd.... it should work.... i´m not that bright in these things but one can autostart any other program starting from cd... so it must be abble to from a stick ... its nothing else.... or am i so wrong??
It only works on CDs.

i just seen that stick with u3 technolegy work with an autostart system. with a partition working as a cd.. how is that possible???
The u3 devices include a "usb cd" partition on the stick (nice to be a manufacturer). That mounts as a CD, which fires off the u3 software. I've seen some discussion about hacking into the u3 cd partition, but I don't know the current state of such attempts.
software that can hack the disc partition on u3 drives.
Also there is software that can make other drives have cd partitions. It cost too much for me though.

Too many nasty programs have used that trick to get a foothold on an unsuspecting computer. So even where the autoplay existed, the people who lock you away from My Computer (Explorer) will certainly lock out autorun.

i don´t understand that!?!?!?
There isn't a good, definitive way that I've found, but I wrote something about this very question recently on my web site. If you want to skip my web site, the directions I end up linking to came from Daily cup of tech.
In the end, you might just need to see what Microsoft has to say about auto-run to figure out how to make it work (and the shorter version).
Hey everyone! So I use the Suite and all. My way of starting all of the apps that I use? Pstart works wonderfully. I just modified the autorun.inf file to start Pstart first, and created a group within Pstart that's all of the Apps that I use constantly; for example, a folder called "usual" that starts ffportable, thunderbird portable, the PAM, pidgin, taskbar shuffle...and the list goes on. I also set Pstart to close after execution, so it autostarts, I right click on the folder and hit "run", and it opens everything and closes itself. You can also create other folders for different situations; such as just wanting to start up the internet-based progs. Once everything is up, I also use launchy and the PAM to start individual apps; I just use Pstart for a mass-startup of all my apps.
Aaaand that's my method. Hope this helps!
