Anyone want launchers for each? (writer, calc, etc)

I've been debating creating launchers for each so you can have one icon for each, just like on a local install. Is there interest in this?

What about a PStart-like

What about a PStart-like launcher? You run it, and it asks you which app you want to run. (Unless it already does that already.)

You could add command-line switches for use in PStart, for those who don't want multiple launchers.

i.e.: PortableOpenOffice.exe -calc

Cheers!

PStart

Everybody using PStart could start single OO-apps. You only need to specify the commandline parameters (e.g. -calc in general properties) and maybe change the icon (-> advance properties).

This is sort of what I'm

This is sort of what I'm talking about.

Does it already accept those commandline parameters? That was my idea, but I didn't know if it does it.

It does

I built the launcher to pass them right through. Detailed here:

Is it possible to save space this way?

I'd be dead keen if it meant that it resulted in the option to have only parts of OO, without the overhead - eg I don't have any use for the Powerpoint and Databasing type functions, but am addicted to the word processor - I'd love to save some portable disk space and just be able to have the word processor, and nothing else....

I would love to only have the writer on my usb and nothing else.
Actually does AbiWord handle .odt? Hmm...

No space savings

OO.o is really one big program. Installing just one vs all yields nearly no space savings.
